Of course, of the eight players, the one who is least likely to win (indeed, probably the only player without a chance) is the defending world champion. Sort of ironic!
This new format may invest the title FIDE World Champion with some authority that it has lacked since they stripped Kasparov of the title in the early 1990s. If the winner and FIDE can reach terms with Kramnik for a match, the World Champion will once again be the World Champion.

I kind of need that though.
And yes in your favour.
Remember though I'm a poor student.
Really, I just want to gamble. Something, anything. They won't let me in the clubs anymore.
Edit: Go to bed.
Edit2: But not before replying to me, you galah.

If Topalov wins you get NZ$45.
If Topalov doesn't win I get NZ$10.
Due to the tiebreak system there can't be complete draws so nothing goes here.
According to the chessmetrics ratings Topalov is at 17% to win so I feel happy with my odds.
Good luck.
