Game 2727367

They were both morons.

Either you guys agreed to a draw, or black ran out of time and draw due to insufficient material.

Stop wasting my time.

That's a good question, one that I can't answer. But why didn't you just go ahead and checkmate; you had the material.

It's not stalemate, not 50-move rule, not a 3-fold repetition of position, and certainly not insufficient mating material =). It must be a draw by agreement. Since Black was the last to move, it's likely that Black offered and White accepted. Why offer a draw? No idea.

Maybe the draw offer icon should come equipped with a klaxon.

Most likely it's because you timed out.

timeout would have caused a loss not a draw.

from what i can see, the only way for this to turn out a draw was for someone to offer the draw and the other to accept it.

Is that game for real?

I assume the game was not played for points and was just a friendly?
Either that or you did not want to defeat your friend.

I have the solution, this game was a completely faux. This is just two friends who were playing a fake game so that one of the friends can try and impress us with her 4 queens. If you look very closely at the game you will see many checkmates that wouldn't be missed by my 8 year old little brother who just started playing chess. They are in move 30-40 if I remember correctly. I saw about a dozen forced mates and I am not even very good compared to most people on this site. I bet anybody with a rating above 1000 could find about 3 dozen forced mates or checkmates that were very possible. Please don't make fake games with your friends to try and impress people, it just makes people pity you. I challenge you to a chess match. Let us see if this was really a fake game or not. I will let you all decide. You supposedly got 4 queens with black so i suppose you are good with black. I will let you be black for this reason. If you decline the game, feel bad because you declined a game from an under rated player and after I made all these accusations. Keep an eye on Game 3266507

I suggest you learn the rules, if a player doesn't have enough material to mate and his opponent runs out of time it's a draw. Here white has only his king so not enough material to mate.

i know the rules friend - perhaps you need to take another look at them yourself 😉

black played last, therefore could not have been timed out. if white timed out they would have lost! timeout could not have caused this draw!!

don't worry - no apology required 😉

I didn't mean to anger anyone, yes I have played this opponent before, and I have always wanted to have four (4) queens in that position/situation (impossible unless the other agrees to the situation) which he did, with the understanding that I would draw or was it resign?
Anyway. I just wanted someone to say , as you did, this had to be a faux game. I do appreciate the replys and again, I hope I have not offended anyone, because that was not my intention. Patricia
