In his game v Boris Savchenko MC got caught up in the heat of the moment
made a blunder and tried to take the move back.
Here Magnus (white played) 51.Kd4 and let go of the King.
He tried to undoe the move but Boris pointed out he had let go of the King.
Here is a video of the game. Some gormless twat jumps infront of
the camera just after Boris forces MC to retract.

The game.
I was just watching that too.
Carlsen goes down further in my estimation each time I see him. Querying that was beyond cheeky.
And out of his chair like a jack-in-a-box when he loses.
On a brighter note there is a fantastic mechanical arm playing chess with clock. I'll try and find the video if it hasn't already been posted.
edit; here are videos of the arm;

it was a very interesting tournament. too bad nakamura got such an abysmal start, he went through almost all places from the bottom to the top. but such is blitz, better luck next time.
gelfand was a big surprise to me, he stayed at the top all the way from very early on. very impressive. mamedyarov played great as well, although couldn't quite keep it up til the end. caruana big disappointment, he's been just killing online, but couldn't really pull it off otb. maybe a little 2d vs 3d problem? or nerves, he's still a kid after all.
Originally posted by EinZweiDreihah, at some point kramnik taps the board impatiently with his finger and goes "davai, davai!" funny stuff. 🙂
That arm looks like it could go out of control and throw a piece at Kramnik at any moment.
it looks pretty scary though. when kramnik makes the joke about shaking hands, the robot almost crushes his hand because it was in the way.
"Carlsen goes down further in my estimation each time I see him."
To be fair to the lad I've seen that happen 100's of times at blitz.
You move and within a nano second you know it's wrong.
You scream and a very natural reaction is to quickly undo the move you
just made. Of course you just laugh and resign.
Also in some places they play 'touch clock' the move is not completed at
blitz until till the clock is pressed.
V Radjabov the magnanimous Magnus walked into mate going for a mate.
MC (white to play)
MC played 1.Qa8 threatening the obvious. When 1.Bh8 sets Black problems.
Radjabov replied 1...Qc8+ and it's mate next move.
Here is a vid of the game. Watch the slap handshake Mc give Rad at the end.
