for another member of my family to join RHP using the same PC as me? Would it look to the mods as though I had just created a second identity for myself?

This is a very commen question. The answer should be found in the FAQ, but it isn't.

The answer is yes, it is legal. Be sure though that you don't play on eachothers account.

I hate to see a clanmate get in trouble. This doesn't involve Dutch or Rubberjaw does it?

LOL
No, but the list of players banned in 2007 for Infraction 3a is long. If another family member sets up an account, how will the mods know it's not me in disguise? That's what worries me.

Me and 3 friends play from the same computer. Never had problems! If someone is exploiting the site it is obvious. If your rating suddenly won't jump 2000 points by beating your family members, then it is perfectly ok!

They just do!

My wife and I both play here with no problems.

I am sure there are lots of couples/partners/bidieins/sons/fathers/mothers/daughters/etc all happily playing away here without any worries about 3a.

I work in a company with thousands of employees. We all share the same firewall with one IP-address only. I can imagine that this is the case at a lot of other companies. I can easily think that schools have similar connections to internet. This means that many members share the same IP-address.

I've wondered myself how RHP can distinguish one member from another in these kind of environments. But they do. We can rely on that.

surely it only matters if you share email addresses. you log in using your email address and password.

Why not? As long they obey the TOS rules, so why not?

In other case, can friends play with eachother? Of course they can.
