i would agree with the whole "community" thing-mike killed the GK community, the IYT forums are a mess, and i've never heard of half the other chess sites...😛

It's 15$/year here too, and some people here play up to 400 games...what is all the fuzz about, RHP is just the best, and that is not one man's opinion, but a fact!😕

Sorry, chessfriend, but how are your maths? It's $ 5.95/month x 12 = $ 71.4/year. Far way off from $ 15. Unless my Japanese calculator lets me down...

Cheerio!

PS
Just have a quick peep at ChessWorld.net and you'll see what they have to offer that price: realistic Java design, nice layout, etc. This doesn't mean you should let RHP down. By all means: no!

RHP has two options for subscription. One is at a monthly rate of 5.95, and the other is an annual rate of 14.95.

It's Dutch. But English is no problem (Cambridge Diploma looon ago), but when I looked for the membership fee I only saw (bad eyes? lack of concentration? impatience?...) the monthly fee. Nevertheles, I didn't think that a monthly subscription at $ 4.95 would -disproportinately- add up to a $ 14.95/year.

Ah, you mentioned a japanese calculator is all.

I presume the reason it's $4.95 per month is anything less wouldn't be worthwhile.

Maybe it's a marketing ploy to encourage people to subscribe for a year at a time rather than every month.
