actually, there is a problem with your solution and my problem. That was the intended answer but black retains a light square bishop which means he can queen.

here is the redesigned version.

oops, i just assumed that was the solution!! i thought the B was a dark one. anyway i guess Be3 will have to do

If Bxh6 gxh6 2.Kxf3 Bf7 Black has a rooks pawn and a bishop the same colour as the promotion square, that's a win. Am I missing something, sorry, tired and still at work.

Ah, just saw the repost, I'm not crazy after all.

1.Kxf3 Kxb6 2.Bc3 g6 (or g5) 3.Bg7 draws. white achieves typical opposite coloured bishops position, where two pawns are not enough to win.
