You don't need a high rating to organize tournaments and be a tireless promoter of the game...or to get sponsors for events and facilities or to teach the basics to beginners and - most importantly - instill enthusiasm.
In addition your rating here doesn't necessarily reflect your ability precisely, as it's quite possible to blitz your moves here, due to personal time constraints, and be quite a bit stronger OTB. Not that he needs me to tell you this.

don't believe this guys...if you like the positions you get out with that move play it...you will learn typical strategies and positions and you will get better with it...probably at some point you will plateau, but that it will not be because of the opening...you can not plateau to less than 2300 because of some opening 🙂

After 1 b3 g5 2 Bb2, what does Black play next? After 1 b3 g6 2 Bb2 Nf6 3 Bxf6 exf6, Black seems okay. But after 1 b3 g5 2 Bb2 Nf6 3 Bxf6 exf6, I don't like Black's position at all. Anybody else care to opine?
