very nice - but I think I'd have preferred 12. g3 at the end!

As I pointed out to lad - 11.Qh3 mate is quicker.

Although this game was a reflection of my shoddy play over the weekend, the finish I found at move 43 cheered me up no end : ) Skip to the nice bit and save yourself 42 moves of inaccuracies! Black actually resigned after white's 46th move.

Oh goodpoint - I hadn't noticed that.

Still, I kind of like the idea of mating with a pawn move so I think I still prefer that way, even if it is one move longer.
