In this weeks Sports Illustrated, there is an article about the youngest Grandmaster in US history. He beats him in age by about 4 weeks.

Who is it, anyway? And what is the age?

Teimour Radjabov, currently 15 yrs old, although I think he may have gotten his GM at age 14. If you play on ICC, you can watch him play there occasionally -- his gamertag is "Velimirovich."

Radjabov is not American, is he? Notice the original post said youngest US grandmaster ever. I think Radjabov is from Azerbaijan.

I didn't see the article, but I think it refers to Hikaru Nakamura, who became a GM last month.

See this link:

He was about four months younger than Fischer was when he became a GM.
