Going to interview Zhansaya Abdumalik soon, don't want it to be too boring, please can people give me ideas for chess related questions, rather than just things about her, which I have already got more than enough of.

Thanks

You can tell her about this post and these are requests from Red Hot Pawn.

Which book(s) would she recommend for a player above beginner below 2000.

What is her favourite book. The book she knows helped helped her.

Her favourite non-chess book, film/song/singer/pop group/city.

What she considers her best/most important win.

Her most painful/critical loss. (the blunder keeps her awake at night.)

Hopefully other questions from the posters here will follow.

(don't put this request on the General Forum as that bunch of
lonely joe's will only come up will lewd and rude suggestions.)

You could ask her whether she intends to take the Judit Polgar route of attempting to become one the best players (male or female) in the world, or if she is going to make becoming Women's World Champion her immediate goal.

Maybe ask if she trains with Radjabov and Caruana, and if so whether she can keep up with their ideas yet.

The simple ones are good, like "Who was your biggest inspiration in the chess world as a child?"
or
"What is it about chess that appeals to you the most?"

I think I've heard these in other interviews 🙂

Ask what she thinks of c3 defence to the Sicilain.

Does she have a lucky pair of shoes?

Has she met Borat?

Does she think she will ever regain her U-12 World title?

Thanks all, although the publication I was going to write for has folded, it may not happen now 🙁
