I learn something new all of the time!! My nick however comes from
Adolf Schliemann...a German Lawyer and chess player who embraced
the Jaenisch gambit which is now refered to as The Schliemann
defense.
Pretty cool that I was one of the questions...well sort of..hehehe
Unfortunately Heinrich Schliemann is not one of the most popular of
archaeologists/looters. He financed his excavations by selling all the
artefacts to German collectors, and they all went 'missing' during the
second world war. Anyway I'll stop ranting and congratulate you for
getting it right
They are either in Russian hands, Swiss bank vaults, or in the hands
of private (and illegal) western collectors. The allies also plundered
Nazi gold, but people don't like to talk about that!
Donadoni was a fantastic player, playing for probably the best club
side the world has ever seen (definitely during my lifetime) - Baresi,
Lentini, Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard, a young maldini - the list is
endless
Mark
still bored and might try and find another ten!!!!
