But I hadn't seen it. I checked your puzzle thread right after posting in this one.

That's OK. Try to expand, or try the other one. 😀

    1. Nb6
    1. ... Qxd1 2. Rxd1 Bxh6 3. Nxa8 and the knight escapes from the rook on h8 via c7.
    1. ... Rb8/a7 2. Qxd8#

    That should do.

Correct. There you go. Any puzzles of your own? they should be good, after that solution. 😀

I'll post a situation from a recent game of mine that was played on GameKnot. (If you're trying to find that game than I can tell you, that my nick isn't the same there as here)

I'm playing black. White just grabbed a rook on c5.

I'm not sure it can actually be called a puzzle. Rather a game analysis. Anyway, there's a strong attacking possibility for black. Can you see it?

EDIT: There may be flaws in the line that was played (there probably are) but I want to see what other people can find.

    1. Nxg3
    2. fxg3 Qxg3+
    3. Kf8/Kh8 Qg2#

If the Knight is not taken, then a strong discovered check is available.

Ah. if White has just taken a Rook... OK disregard this.
    Nxg3 Rxf5
    Nxf5+
    Yep, just going deeper.

I sacrificed a rook against a piece on c5 in order to gain this attacking possibility. If you want me to post or PM how the game continued then just let me know.

    EDIT: Ng3 was the move.

I'd like to know. And another puzzle, the last one was good.

😀 You could've just guessed the move. I want to see whether you have any reason to think that the move Ne6 is a solution.
