1. To move stealthily or cautiously.
2. Informal. To act or proceed cautiously or timidly to avoid committing oneself.)
KWR - not sure if it counts but DESKWRITER? a family of HP printers? ... don't think proper nouns count though eh?

Pussyfoot is correct.
Deskwriter may well be correct,although as a word, to me it doesn't sound quite right.
Either way it wasn't the word I originally had in mind.
