    Thats actually true I found out something about that earlier, my point was just that the puzzle wasnt unsolveable or couldnt be done, Didnt notice that it could be done in different ways until an hour later, thanks Swiss

    Queens are on; a2, b4, c6, d8, e3, f1, g7, h5 and there r a few more solutions if u turn the board or displace the pieces by a rank or a file..
    definitly u cant have the same number and letter more than once..and the adjacent letters must be with non-adjacent numbers and vice versa..but notice that a1&h8 a8&h1 (corners of the long diagonals) are also taken as adjacent.. thats the key point when doing it without actually having a board..
