eh? I think I missunderstand the question.
I'd say '1' was the answer. 1 / 1 is closest to the positive root solution, while 1 / infinity would give the closest value to the -ve root solution, but it isn't as close as 1.

Yeah, not sure I get this one either - root 123456789 is roughly +/- 11111, so 1/n = 11111; n = 0.0009 so the positive integer closest is 1. Are we barking up the right tree?

I'll have to agree. From how I understand your question, 1 should be the correct answer.

Yes...you're all right. I meant to ask..'closest to the fractional part of sqrt(123456789)'. The 1 bit is obvious the way I asked, and that is no fun 😉.
