dictionary.com states, darkness - 'the absence or deficiency of light'

The speed of darkness is the same as the speed of light. Here is why: If you turn ON a flashlight in a room when the light fills the room that is the speed of light. So if you turn OFF the flashlight in a dark room how fast it became dark.
