You do not understand, this is how it is defined.

dictionary.com states, darkness - 'the absence or deficiency of light'

What you are saying is like saying prove that nothingness is not a thing.

The speed of darkness is the same as the speed of light. Here is why: If you turn ON a flashlight in a room when the light fills the room that is the speed of light. So if you turn OFF the flashlight in a dark room how fast it became dark.
