The number is not even, as even numbers must be divisible by 2 and get an integer value. But even more important, how can you get less than a cent?

ok i'm getting tired of the fumbling around

    june 8 1124 : june 8 1132
    8 years = 8*365 + 2(leap days) = 2922

    june 8 1132 : july 8: 1132
    30 days

    july 8 '32 : aug 8 '32
    31 days

    aug 8 '32 : sep 8 '32
    31 days

    + 12 days = 2922 + 92 +12 = 3026

    sum (k, 0, 3026, 2^k) is a power series so

    (1-2^3027)/(1-2) = 2^3027 - 1 and according to my comp =

No because he got fractions of a cent, and once fractions are involved, the number is no longer even or odd.

There's your problem, the post office couldn't deliver the letter since the zip code you gave is in Virginia...

    😀

Edit: Little-Known-Postal-Fact: If you are not sure of the correct zip code to use on a letter, do not guess! Leave it blank. An incorrect zip code will misroute your letter, taking longer to get to its destination, possibly even going in circles, while a letter with no zip code is sent directly to the city in the address.

Whoa! In the second post in this thread, crazyblue said the total number of days was "around 3022 or so", and he was only off by 4... that's less than one-eighth of one percent off!
