@eye-of-horus-42

So this is probably a folding trickand I think I didn't get the instructions right.
maybe it is a trick about turning the box 180°, then the 1 needs to be a line instead of the proper number with a hook, the sices beome nines ,,,

"remove two numbers"

You don't say how to get those two numbers

So

add the top two 6's to get 6+6 = 12
add the bottom two 6's to get 12

Remove the two 12's

Remaining 10+20+10 = 40

I am confused

I did use all four sixes; I added each pair to make 12 and then deducted two numbers ie - the two 12's to get 40.

64 less two twelves ie two pairs of 6's (24) = 64 less 24 = 40.

So I did not forget 4 other sixes

As no-one else is responding; maybe you could explain to a simpleton like me.

No need to shout - at least I gave it a shot - no-one else bothered with your stupid trick question

Sorry old man; I enjoyed our game of chess but our paths will not cross again.
