I'm sure you all know these kinds of puzzles.
After you've managed to solve the easy one go for the hard one .....
There must be some sort of system to solve these kinds of puzzles.
Anybody any ideas ?
Solved in 41 moves! Well done!
I tend to try and complete one line at a time until I get down to about a third of the pieces left to go. Then I start thinking about what each move will do to other pieces and where I need them to be in a few moves time.

Solved in 13 moves! Well done!. It WAS the hard... the button on the right switched to the easy.

When I tried the "hard" one, the whole upper half was already in the right order. It's really very much a question of luck.
It might be interesting to figure out what's the minimum number of moves needed if the puzzle is in maximum disorder, but I am too lazy to even make an attempt.
