Posers and Puzzles
16 May 04
This game is quite simple: someone posts a sentence or phrase, then someone else replies with the language the phrase is written in, along with a new phrase. The phrase doesn't have to mean anything in particular, just be an example of the language (written in Roman script to avoid font display issues). Quoting from the internet is to be encouraged; there's no need to restrict yourself to languages you actually speak.
I'll start:
Pirms Jezus naca uz Zemi, vins bija gariga butne un dzivoja debesis.

Originally posted by SouskaI must give you credit: it is a nice try. You are trying to say in Elvish: "You speak Elvish". In fact, there is no language 'Elvish', but there are two versions: "Sindarin", which is spoken by the Grey elves, and "Quenya", which is spoken by the High elves, all in Middle Earth.
PEH-deekh eth-ell-ehn?warning:this might be bad grammer
BTW, The correct grammar would be: "pedich i lam edhellen", which is Sindarin and means literally: "You speak the language of the elves".
