It is known that an infinite sequence of consecutive checks is impossible.

Holy toledo that's a big leap forward. I think the previous record was a pathetic 37 moves.

Thr previous record was 45. 37 is the record without promoted men in the position before the checking, and as far as I know is still the record in that case.
