    It means that you are to find a legal game that reaches the position in 22.5 full moves. A full move is a move by both White and Black - numbered in the same way as on a chess scoresheet. The ".5" means that only White has made his 23rd move. The stipulation could also be read as Position after White's 23rd move. How did the game go?

    I'm not quite sure the tactics used to find out the last move, but I have a feeling it might have been g5

    White's missing a Queen and a Bishop. Black's missing nothing (one promoted bishop at that). This is going to be tough

    okay. We don't need Mephisto...

    Can someone give some ideas of how to start doing this and we can work our way through it!
