Samson & Delilah

A pretty old one... but some of you might not of heard it.

Samson & Delilah are lying dead on the floor. They are naked and lying in a pool of water. There is some broken glass next to them, but neither of them have any visible signs of injuries... How did they die?

They resolved to go for a midnight swim in the nude, armed with an ampoule of cobra-venom for the express purpose of bringing their existence to a close. Samson had been depressed for some time after his beautiful hair had been shorn whilst he slept, and Delilah was wracked with guilt for her part in that legendary deceit. The phial was shattered, and its contents shared betwixt them. Death came swiftly.

S & D were goldfish, and some kind soul had dashed their bowl onto the ground.
