The thought occurs that if we DO end up with something publishable, it is problematic to post it in this, a public forum.

    No doubt.
If you sense your idea has serious potential, probably a good time to step off this ride.

Maybe this should go into the private forum...

I was also thinking that a slightly different version of this idea might be interesting -- instead of twinning from the last version, everybody twins off a single position (allow 4 or 5 changes, with any combination of position change, stip change, condition change, color changes, shifts, rotations, etc).

This way, people interested will have more time to compose something (the pace has probably been daunting for some who would otherwise want to contribute).

    nice ser.h#8, btw 🙂

Hmm, rather than give the solution, I'll try to preserve it...
After the 2nd move of the intent (2.h4), I'll make slight changes: wNf3>b7, +bPf5

Now the remaining ser.#9 is preserved, and 180 degree rotation gives a second solution:

    series helpmate in 9
    a) diagram
    b) rotate board 180 degrees

    Find both solutions!

If anybody has ideas for an AUW (with 4 rotations), make a new thread in the private channel.

remove bPf5, move wNb7->f1, then series help white castle in 10 (circe exchange).

    Circe Exchange
    ser.hOO.10

    circe exchange:
captured pieces are immediately reborn onto the square vacated by the capturing unit (e.g., if black plays 1.Kc2 2.Kxb1, white rook is reborn on vacated c2 square [+wRc2] etc).
    * castling is possible with a rook reborn onto it's home square (but not moved there directly).
    * pawns reborn onto their 8th rank are immediately promoted (choice of promotion left to the side which forced the rebirth)
    * pawns reborn onto their 1st rank can neither move, capture, nor give check (unlike Circe Parrain).
