There is a circular track 1 mile long. A man must complete the track twice (thus doing 2 miles). Assuming he travels at 30mph on the first lap, what speed must he average on the second lap to finish with an overall average speed of 60 mph?

Well to average 60 mph he must complete two miles in two minutes.

So if he travels at 30 mph for the first lap this will take 2 minutes in itself so........... that leaves no time at all to complete the second lap.
