Offered before I look at the rest of the thread. I love maps but details don't stick. Does alaska poke west more that the isles? Florida more south than texas? I probably failed here.

There is a confusion about east and west that I don't understand. Wiki says there are three ways to determine this: depend on the prime meridian, the international date line, or the geographical center of the country. I guess the third option makes the most sense in context here? Unless this is a bar bet.You know, like who cut samson's hair. A trick question.
