White did not move and won.

Black chose to move and lost.

    What has happened here?

Perfectly logical explanation if you think outside the box.

Black made a move on another lady and lost his honor. White did not and therefore did not.

Would this be something to do with a play on the word move?
We're in a timed game and its black to play.
Black chooses to 'move' down to the bar, but gets distracted by the barmaid's peanuts and so loses on time.

Yup, they were playing cards Black Jack /Pontoon on a chessboard.

White got a King and QUeen and stuck on 20.

Black too got a King And Queen and tried for an Ace but pulled a Queen. (Bust).

    not poker, but blackjack.
Black, with two queens and a king has 30 pts = bust.
White with Queen + king has 20 points and so wins.

I like the cute barmaid story better, cos its got a cute barmaid in it. With peanuts.

This just popped into my head.

Most likely due to the One Card Poker thread next door to it.

    When was this postion reached?

That was two (forked Knights/fortnights) ago. So it was last month.

I needed some quick cash. What did I do?

I pawned my chess set. 🙂

A player named "White" was playing the Black pieces, and a player named "Black" was playing the White pieces.

Maybe Black (playing White) exchanged Queens
