Yep. that looks pretty right according to the notation here. Try this one:

Invalid FEN inserted - 8/5R2/1N2p1pK/4k1p1/nQ6/1N1q1B2/8/8/

Correct. This is a true zugzwang; if black could 'pass' after 1.Qa5, white would have no mate on the 2nd move.

1.Na3 seems to do the trick

..and if you're all wondering about all the edits its because the site wouldn't allow me to 1KN1n etc after ....8/8/. I hade to code KN1n etc.

1. Ne3 (threatens 2. Qf1# ) Nxd2+ 2. Ng4#

After any other move Qf1 mates.

Perhaps you've added something in the first few rows:
e.g. 5N3B places the white bishop at b7
Check if your previous codes sum up to 8, if not that's the begining of the problem.
EDIT:
Problem found skeeter:
In you original fen the second row is: 1B7 which adds to 9 😉 It should be 1B6

I'll have to try if fen works without the /
e.g
84BrNkQK888895
Let's see:
Invalid FEN inserted - 84BrNkQK888895

EDIT: seems to work with digits only. Original try was 12BrNkQK45

Huh? I copied it into Chessbase, adding the 1 in the process as it wouldn't accept it as is (use reply and quote and copy paste to get at the FEN), and used that in working out the solution. I didn't turn on the engine, I just use it so I can move pieces around. Anyway for some reason oftentimes when I just cannot find the solution to a mate in X puzzle and I stick Fritz on it Fritz will find a mate in X+1 or something and stop looking.

I didn't notice that the position displayed is different from the one the FEN gives.
