My first is a shorn-scalped knower of logic,
My second the first in debates geologic,
My third's number twenty paired with some noughts,
My fourth is a youthful event hypnagogic.

My fifth is the self-titled grand master cynic,
My sixth shares his name but plays chess monoclinic,
My seventh: a priest of a high breed of thought,
My eighth is a carplike piscean succinic.

My ninth is equipped with great powers of mind,
My tenth is a drone bee with profit to find,
Eleventh: encompassing slash through the air,
My twelfth is a ship of war, but not 'Golden Hind'.

Last is a kind and jovial soul,
And a neat total order exists on my whole.
