@Kewpie saidYes it would but you know exactly what will happen with the ultrarightwingnuts see this report, the vitriol will start in earnest.
It would be good to have a rational discussion on contraception and STDs and all methods of family planning without anyone getting on soapboxes, wouldn’t it?
BABY KILLERS, and the like. Not even caring THEY are the baby killers.
Transhumanist reproductive initiatives should value trying to solve these birth defects. Put early-stage prenatal science on a certain life level, then restrain late-stage pregnancy research/experiments.
I would protest developing new lab samples–it will only shift away attention from managing Gosnellian specimens on the market.

The life of an unwanted child is a miserable and hopeless one. We should be focused on making every child is born into a community of caring people who will love that child, provide for it, and help it to become a good person.
To that end, contraception should be made readily available to any adult who is not able or willing to support this ideal for the child. Quality upbringing for all babies actually born should be the ideal.
And if contraception fails, prompt termination should be available, in order to prevent the birth of a child who will be forced to live with the consequences for its whole life.

Fertility rates have gone up.
From 23 to 24, 3% drop in one year.
@Of-Ants-and-Imps saidExcept this has been going on for years now, the data I showed was just one year.
@sonhouse
Plausibly a Simpson's paradox
@sonhouse saidSo one given reason was that babies with birth defects were more likely aborted. So they would have died either way, just not shown up in statistics, which accounts for about a third of the increase.

Science in action, well at least till Trump gets around to reading it.
OFF WITH THEIR HEADS.
It is unclear where the rest of the observation could come from. What we do need is more numbers to make statistically relevant conclusions.
SOnhouse do you have some reasonable explanation?
@Ponderable saidOne thing of note, microplastics showing up in testicles AND sperm. That can't be good for fertility.

Microplastics is aserious problem and should really encourage us to reduce use .
@Ponderable saidImps and ants said fertility rates went up but they have been going down, sorry, different subject. I thought you were asking why fertility rates went down.
