This piece says how much more efficient than a vacation electric cooler, also solid state.
So where is the efficiency compared to mechanical refrigeration? Didn't see that so we don't know if it took a 5% efficient unit into double that, all of TEN percent.
So where do we find where this new tech is in terms of world wide refrigeration technology?
@sonhouse
I have read the publication.
In fact the guys made module with a surface of about a sqaure millimeter and measuered succesful the effect.
They went on to calculate how it could work in a refrigerator with all six sides being equipped with these modules.
They way they do the mdoules today I would expect the device to cost several tens of thousands of dollars.
So don't hold your breath, there are at least yers ofd development work ahed befire any device will hit the market.
@Ponderable saidYeah, another bit optimistic paper. One square millimeter. Wow, off to a GREAT start🙂
