Is 3 x 10 to the 7th metres per second?

I'm watching a movie and this speed was mentioned.

I'd say it is about 3 times 10 to the 7th meters per second.

Speed of light is just under 30 times 10 to the 7th meters per second.

Speed of sound about 300 ish meters per second.

That is one tenth of the speed of light (the speed of light is defined to be 299792458 m/s (~3E8 not 3E7).
