However, it does mention something about cadmium; The earlier proposed quantum-dot based solar paint had toxic cadmium in it making it an environmental issue but they now have found non-toxic alternatives to cadmium for that application. But, despite that, I personally doubt solar paint will ever catch on widely because I predict its solar energy efficiency will never be impressive. I would personally say solar cells, not solar paint, will always be better.
But I now think, although all this is of some interest (else I wouldn't have bothered to post it), all this would be shown to be irrelevant in practical terms, at least in the far future, because I now predict in the far future almost the only type of renewable power we will use won't be solar or wind etc but rather will be what I have personally named "ted power" as I have already explained in this thread below;
