They invented the micrsocopic technique a few years back, they write… So it is the application. And it is a really clever one. The strcucture effect relationsship surely will enhance understanding of how superconductors behave .

I wonder what the field strength is to keep the bose condensate above the object probed and how much that field interacts with the object being probed? An amazing device nonetheless! So they are just in the beginning of showing new physics. I wonder what they will be showing ten years from now?
