I worked in the semi-conductor industry for over 20 years and found the second part interesting also, the use of the charcoal on cryopumps, they cool down charcoal to about 10 degrees Kelvin so incoming gas molecules check in but they don't check out. I was curious how much better the pumps made by Air Products and Varian and others would perform in actual production equipment with this new version of charcoal. It sounds like it would really be an improvement in the standard cryopump. If you don't know what I am talking about, gargle it๐
