    So (at least these) AIs are still bad at identifying objects by their overall shape relying instead far far too heavily on identifying them by fragments and textures of the objects.
    Seems obvious to me what needs to be done here; research and develop AIs able to recognize objects more by their overall shape than their parts.

    I've seen too many dystopian movies to ever trust AI with anything.
