The creature we build would be 0 yrs out of time and would just grow up in this culture. Koko did alright, and she was just an ape.

Time travel or genetic re-issuance, the result would be the same, we would find out if Neandertals could even speak or form our words. If they could not, it would have to be taught sign language which would be fine, lots of deaf or mute people get along great that way.

But would that be the only deficit of a Neandertal in our world?
