Smart TV hacking, FF and reverse games.

So some, maybe 2 on our cable has the disturbing hack going on, where when you record a show and play it later, they won't let you FF or reverse, instead of going forward for instance, it just jumps to a random time so if the show is say 30 minutes, you hit forward, you think you are going up say one minute, instead it shoves you to say the 23 minute mark and the reason is they don't want to let you not watch commercials.

So the question here is, has anyone else seeing this disturbing trend in TV and if so, any idea how to crack that stupid hack going on so your FF and reverse act like it does on the main stations, CBS, ABC, NBC and such? If I want to go forward 30 seconds I want to go forward 30 frigging seconds not 18 minutes! Any here see that?
