I wonder where this will lead, like how much would it cost to make in commercial numbers? It is said this 'glass' is a better insulator than real glass.

original Paper. The unanswered Question for me is how the "transparent wodd" relates to the PMMA, which gives a lot of ist properties. You can buy PMMA (Plexiglas (R) ) Sheets now and without needing to process Wood using bleach, which in itself is not a real green process (the should use H2o2, preferably from direct Synthesis)
