I have just replied to a post and was able to amend the bit quoted that I was replying / responding too.
In my case it was innocent; I was simply aiming to show the point I was replying to.
But surely; if you can amend the post you are replying to then this is wrong and open to abuse.
My suggestion is to remove all cuts by "[...]" to show where the quoting poster removed words.
