Can we have a delete button for sent messages? Please πŸ™‚

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but there are too many threads to wade through.

What did you send?
And to who?

[I promise I won't tell]

Kinky love letters to everyone. Didn't you get one?

I have no idea. I have occasionally wished that they were keepable (not disappearing when the recipient deletes them, and e-mailable like received messages) though, especially in somewhat lengthy discussions that don't allow you to quote the full text you are replying to due to the character limit.

Because I want to delete them, that's why!
When people reply to my messages they generally use the REPLY facility, so why do I need to keep the one I sent as well? πŸ˜•

And Nordlys' idea of them being emailable would be good for those who want to keep them. πŸ™‚

You don't need to keep them - they're deleted after about 30 days.

But I would like to get rid of them now, and Nordlys would like to keep some of hers. Choice is a good thing πŸ™‚

I can see your point in a way.
I received a message from a club member and using the reply option with the intention of changing the recipients name.
I did it this way so the message I had received was in fact being forwarded.
Needless to say I clicked send before altering the recipient details.
This was merely forwarding the game results for a league match to the website maestro to update the details but could have easily been egg on the face.
