What about a button we could push to say we are now going off line? It could have a half hour duration - and vanish - but it would stop us waiting for people we have been playing all evening, - when they have gone to bed ;-)
Imagine if Russ and Company installed spell check.

But why have to click a bed-button to show you're about to leave? Just say so in a message, like "I'm leaving now, See you in the morning..." Shouldn't be so difficult.

I sometime take more then 10 minutes to make a move. It does not mean I have left. What if you are logged in checking to see if anyone has moved and they haven't you cannot turn your green light on.
Originally posted by IM14u2NVThe point I'm making is that the green light is fairly meaningless - if it's off, the opponent could still be here. If it's on, the computer is on is all it means.
That would leave everyone guessing about your availability to move. that is not the point trying to be made here.
A recent survey was carried out by the Daily Telegraph, on the reasons why people get out of bed at night. The results were surprisingly similar for men and women.
4% wanted to use the toilet;
3% wanted to use a shower or bath;
3% thought that they'd left a light on;
3% thought they'd left a cooker or fire on;
2% wanted to drink something;
1% wanted to eat something;
1% wanted to smoke;
The other 83% got out of bed to...
go home...

I missed what you meant until now. I am still up for a change in regards to knowing who is online.
