Tried to do it in the private forum but doesn't work, any reason?

It was a private thread link in a private forum.

I have no idea why it didn't work, what did you type? Or did you use the Greasemonkey script? It usually works just fine.

I use it in my clan forum. Works perfectly well for me.

Get Firefox, Greasemonkey, and Ouroboros' Greasemonkey scripts, and you won't have to type it anymore, so you'll avoid that kind of mistakes.

You get this under the post, in addition to the smileys:

Insert link to a game
Insert board from FEN
Insert link to a thread
Insert link to a tournament
Insert link to a clan
Insert link to a clan challenge
Insert link to a clan league
Insert link to a user profile

If you click them, you only have to put in the number, and the tags are added automatically. Very convenient, especially if you are using a Norwegian keyboard where the square brackets are very annoying to type...

Norwegian Dvorak, to be exact... But the square brackets are at the same place on the normal Norwegian keyboard.
