As some threads are long with side topics and many posters it can be difficult to continue to engage with a particular or multiple particular posters within such a thread. Also longer replies get auto-abridged meaning that where more than two people are in conversation one of the third parties replies can be missing a lot of text so one has to go back and find their actual post,
It might be helpful to be able to just click somewhere on the original replied-to post to automatically be taken to it, read it in full, and simply forward click the browser back to where you were.

Click on the three dots on the line after a reply to get a window with the original post in it. You can read it, reply again to it, quote it, copy/paste that text anywhere and then close the window to end up right back where you were.
Easy-peasy.
