Today, I just played 15+10 live chess. Just at the moment, when my opponent realised it would be checkmated in 3 moves, the opponent stopped making moves while its clock was running. I had approximately 14 minutes left.
Then, my opponent's clock hung.
Finally, I sent a message to my opponent. The RHP announced that my opponent has left the game.
15 minutes later, I am coming back to the RHP. It turns out that my game is still not finished yet. Again, I get the message that my opponent has left the game.
But I cannot start a new game without giving a point to my opponent.
Thus, it seems that I cannot play live chess on the RHP anymore!
@Nanomaster said12 hours later, that stuck 15 + 10 game has vanished. I have neither won nor lost that game. It does not exist anymore.

I had an extra queen, 14 minutes remaining, and I was about to checkmate my opponent in 3 moves. My opponent abandoned the game, then the game stuck, and finally, that game vanished altogether.
Such quantum events do not make the RHP live games feature particularly trustworthy.
OK, they say that it is in the testing stadium.
@Nanomaster saidI have the error logs for your game.

Yesterday I believed I had a potential fix for this problem, which clearly did not play out. This one might take some time - debugging realtime systems is....tricky. The bug can't be reproduced, but then it pops up and ruins a game, such as for you yesterday. This will need to be solved because the planned live ratings depend on it.
@Russ saidSometimes, the same problem has appeared on some other chess platforms too, even on the entrenched and reputable platforms. On some other chess platforms, that kind of events have never appeared.

On some platforms, such things happen regularly and with a suspicious pattern.
Sometimes I have suspected that some players can abort the game if they are going to lose it. Particularly, if an admin of the system plays on that system, they can probably interrupt the game due to "technical reasons".
In the present case, such a hypothesis is implausible as these live games on the RHP do not yet have the rating system.
