In the list of "public games" the status of games currently in play is given simply as "in progress". When picking games to view on the bases of (for example) the ratings of the players, it's easy to waste a lot of time when the games picked turn out to have been just started or not yet out of the opening.
I suggest that instead of "in progress" the game status of games in play be changed to read "Move x" where x represents the current move. It shouldn't be too difficult to read that from a database variable somewhere.

That way games will appear in your watch list and can be viewed at leisure and as they progress.

The idea is to be able to pick, first, a game which involves players of sufficient rating to interest me, and second, to pick a game which has progressed to a sufficient number of moves to interest me; and it should be able to do this in a single step, i.e., to see at a glance this information from the "Public Games" screen. Anything else means wasting a lot of time following and backtracking from links while trying to discover this.
At present, the ratings are shown from the main Public Games screen but not the progress of the game. Changing to a "mini boards" display shows the progress of the game but not the ratings of the players.

Also, when I am viewing public games, I seldom want to follow a game through more than the current session. Usually I am interested in seeing how players of a given rating minimum handle openings and middlegames of various kinds. If the game is interesting into the endgame I want to see that too.
