The v6 Android app release will be in beta shortly, introducing many quality-of-life improvements over the previous version. All board theme options from the recent web update will be available directly in the app plus :
- Improved navigation for board actions—no longer clustered under a single button on the action bar.
- A much better dark mode implementation (with dynamic choice that matches your system settings).
- Optional animation of your opponent's last move, just like in the recent web update.
- Access to board preferences and settings directly from the board during play.
- A redesigned new game form, plus many other minor quality-of-life improvements.
Beta should start within the week, so keep any eye on the site ideas forums if you would like early access and to help test.
iPhone app update is very close behind! (Multi-tasking on this one. 🙂 )

I've held off releasing the beta until next week, but generally very happy with the update and looking forward to getting it out to everyone.
I'm currently trying to get the IOS app into a similar state, but this will lag the Android release by a couple of weeks, I suspect.
