Newbies find existing threads on a subject

Why do newbies insist on asking the same questions over and over and over.... Rather than starting yet another thread on cheating or chess improvement, a better idea would be to find one of the many existing discussions or "threads" on the subject and then ask relevant questions.

You would find that the question has already been asked and answered.

As the search facility here is practically nonexistent it is hard to blame them really.

For example in the Help Forum one question on cheating is next to another one on the same subject. In the Chess Forum, questions on improvement are lining up side by side. They are not trying hard enough.
