Player status update

Would be useful to be able to post a banner message to all current opponents (advising, say, temporary absence, slower games than normal, etc) rather than having to send individual PMs.

You can put on a message if you book vacations...but People have to go to your home to see it.
A General message to all active games is probably what you ahve in mind?

A message on your profile would be possible (other than vacation message). But I suspect you really want a "PM all active opponents" option on "send message". (edit : as @Ponderable said)

This could be added too if people want it.
