There are a few features I’d find useful.

1. An indication on a player’s profile page that shows if they have set a minimum challenge rating.

2. An indication on a player’s profile page if they’re refusing more games.

3. An online/offline indication on a player’s profile page.

4. Disable the challenge button on a user's profile page if I'm not able to challenge them.

5. A filter on the players page to show only players I’m eligible to challenge, hiding players refusing more games or have a minimum challenge rating set higher than mine.

I support #4 which should be a minor effort to make.

Many early design decisions were all based on performance considerations. This was one of them, and I do need so soften that stance a little bit now, because it makes little sense anymore. (Reminder to self, it is not 2001 anymore)

I'll take a run through these suggestions (and anymore that get added?) later today, hopefully.

This is the case for the full profile now. (For 30 days)

It took about 48 hours for the first to use the name change option, and it was just someone fixing a typo. That is a good result.

The online/offline indicator is based on if someone is moving. When the last move was made is clearly shown, right? (Admittedly, not as clear on the full profile though.)

In fact that bonus wouldn't mean much. Weak players would just inflate the ratings for everybody, high rated would not stick out....

1. All profile pages now show a player's status regarding challenges.

2. See 1.

3. The "online" indicator has been tacked onto the last move text.

4. This hasn't been done - the reason being is that the "buddy privilege" option complicates this one, so this can't be fixed right now. The whole "buddy" system will probably be shelved in its current form soon anyway.

5. For all non-provisionally rated players, in the player directory, there is now an extra switch which does exactly this.
